Hello everyone! I'm finally back with a card video, it's been a long time but I've been very busy lately and just haven't had much time at all. This video has actually been recorded for a long time, but I just needed to voice over it. So, I finally got the chance and I'm hoping to start up my schedule again for the new year!
So onto the card. I have two very simple cards for today, they were both for some family members whose birthday was coming up.
So basically for these two cards, I just went back to a design that I know works for me and I quite often do that when I haven't made a card in a while and I need to get back into it.
To start off my cards today I grabbed some Tim Holtz Watercolour Cardstock to do my stamping on. I first prepped the cardstock with my anti-static bag and then grabbed my MISTI tool for my stamping. I used two Dina Wakley sets for both cards today and stamped them in some Versafine Onyx Black ink. Once they were stamped I used clear embossing powder over top and heat set them. I then moved onto my water colouring.
For the water colouring today I used my Kuretake Gansai watercolours. I don't have a very special technique for watercolour, I just drop the colour in until I like the look of it, which is exactly what I did for the colouring of both the flowers and the birds. (No. 34, 33, 43, 53, 50, 64, 139, 47 are the colours I used). Once all the colouring was complete I heat set them to dry and moved on.
For my sentiment I used a really old Studio Calico kit stamp set, but you could easily use a set by Clearly Besotted, they have a lot of choices similar to this. I stamped it with Versamark in on some Black Cardstock and then used White Embossing Powder to heat emboss it. I cut it down into thin strips and adhered both onto my cards. I also used fun foam to adhere down the water coloured pieces onto the card bases as well. That pretty much finished up my cards, I hope you enjoyed!

Thanks for stopping by today. I hope you enjoyed and I'll be back to a schedule soon!
(I now try to link to products I use to Australian stores too. Most items I buy are from Simon Says Stamp which is located in America. But I know that not all people want to purchase overseas, so I now link to Scrapbook Boutique and Craft Online for Copic Markers so that you can buy here too. Not all products are linked to both stores because Australian stores don't always stock all the products I use. But hopefully this helps out a bit!
