Wishing You A Magical Day (Video)

Hello everyone, today I have a card featuring the newish Be A Unicorn set by Avery Elle! I'm not really into the whole unicorn trend, but I couldn't resist this stamp set plus it's a smaller set so it's cheaper which worked well in this case.

So for todays card I'm going to be showing a simple watercolour background using some Gansai Tambi watercolours along with some copic colouring.

To begin my card today my stamped out both the images from the Be A Unicorn stamp set with some Memento Tuxedo Black ink and then I grabbed various colours of Copic markers and coloured in my images. Once they were coloured in I fussy cut them out with some detail scissors. I then moved onto my watercolour background. I first started out with die cutting my panel first using the Wonky Stitched dies from Avery Elle and then I'm going to be starting the watercolouring. I'm using the Gansai Tambi watercolours today and I just used various blues and then the shimmer from the same set.

The watercolour paper I'm using is Tim Holtz Watercolour cardstock and that's because it's super bright white and theres a lot of white space showing on the card today. So I wet the paper first with some clean water and I then dropped in the various blues from the palette in a diagonal direction across the paper. Once I was happy with the result - making sure I'm drying it in between layers I dried it with a heat tool and then sprinkled some shimmer watercolour with a brush over the top of the watercolour and dried it again. I now stamped down my sentiment from the same stamp set also using some Versafine Onyx Black Ink. I then adhered my scene together. I then adhered my panel onto some pink cardstock and then my cardstock onto a white cardbase. I then applied some Moonshine Sequins onto the background and some glossy accents onto the hoofs and horn of my unicorn and the card was finished.

(I now try to link to products I use to Australian stores too. Most items I buy are from Simon Says Stamp which is located in America. But I know that not all people want to purchase overseas, so I now link to Scrapbook Boutique and Craft Online for Copic Markers so that you can buy here too. Not all products are linked to both stores because Australian stores don't always stock all the products I use. But hopefully this helps out a bit! Happy Wishes (Video)

Hello everyone. I'm back with another card video today featuring the Woodland Wonders stamp set by Avery Elle. I haven't bought any Avery Elle products in such a long time, but couldn't resist this one.

To start off the card I stamped and coloured all of my images. I used Memento Tuxedo Black Ink for all the image stamping and then used Copic markers to do my colouring. I then decided to fussy cut them all out right on the line instead of leaving a white border like I usually do. To do my panel I die-cut out an oval using a Kaisercraft die just out of some Neenah white cardstock. I used the negative space to create a fun frame.

For the background I cut down two pieces of watercolour cardstock. I then cut one of them down to create a hill. I used some Tumbled Glass and Twisted Citron distress ink to ink blend the sky and grass. I then adhered all my pieces together along with all the images and sentiment banner. I popped up my panel on some fun foam and then onto a hot pink card base.

Hooray (Video)

Hello everyone! Today I have a fun card for you with a galaxy background. When I first saw the Space Bears stamp set by Mama Elephant I knew I wanted to do a galaxy background with it. This was my first time making a galaxy background and I wanted to do a video also. Making this card was just so much fun.

So to start off my card today I stamped out my bears from the Space Bears stamp set using my Mini MISTI and some Memento Tuxedo Black ink.

Note: I said in my video that I didn't really care for the Mini MISTI, which is true. I don't really like it at all. I don't feel it's as good as the original MISTI - but this is just my opinion. I know that people love it for other reasons that I don't, and each to their own. I will still use it, but I will just always prefer the original.

Anyway, back to the card. After I stamped out my images I used some Copic markers to colour them in. I then used my Brother Scan n Cut to cut around them. Once they were done I moved onto my background. To know how a galaxy looks and to get the colours right I just searched up an image on google - I do that quite often to get colours right. I used various colours of Distress Ink to do the background (they'll be listed in the supplies below). I just used the Mini Ink Blenders to do the background and just layered up the colours. I think you could get away with a few colours, but I had more colours to use, so I did. Plus, I think the other colours show through the final layer anyway and gives it a nice effect.

Once my background was blended, I added some extras to make it look like a galaxy. I started off with some water, to create water splotches. I then used some white and silver mist and splattered that onto the background too. I wanted some shimmer so I pulled the shimmer colour in my Kuretake Gansai palette to sprinkle over the background too. I dried it off with a heat tool and added some more white paint to give a little more until I was happy with it.

I then made a moon using some circle dies and some grey Distress Inks. I adhered all these pieces together and also white heat embossed the sentiment, which also came from the same Space Beard stamp set. I adhered the panel onto some Fog Cardstock by Simon Says Stamp and then that onto a Neenah cardbase. I added a little Wink of Stella as a final touch too.

Unbelievable Birthday (Video)

Hello everyone, I'm back with another video today. Today I'm featuring the newish Loveable Legends stamp set by Lawn Fawn along with a technique I've wanted to try for a long time, Distress Ink Acetate Smooshing. It was so much fun too!

To begin my card today I stamped out my images using Memento Tuxedo Black Ink on some Neenah Solar White Cardstock. I then coloured them in using a few copic markers. I then used my Brother Scan n Cut to cut them out. Once that was done, I worked on my background. I used some Tim Holtz Watercolour Cardstock and three blue Distress Inks - Salty Ocean, Tumbled Glass and Broken China. I started off with my lightest and worked my way to the darkest colour. I just smooshed down the ink pad onto the acetate and then spritzed it with my spray bottle and pressed it down onto my cardstock. I didn't dry each layer until the very end when I wanted a more full background. I then dried the piece when I was happy with it.

I then stamped out some waves from the stamp set with some Versamark ink onto the background and coated it with White Embossing Powder and then heat set them all. I stamped out my sentiment using Versafine Onyx Black and then adhered down my images with some foam tape from Scotch. My last finishing touch was to add a little Wink of Stella in the clear and then adhere my panel to some fun foam and then to a blue notecard from Hero Arts.

Thank You (Video)

Hello everyone! Today I'm back with a card I made weeks ago and I'm finally getting a chance to share it with you all! Today I'm doing some stamping with Distress Inks to create a watercolour look. This set by Altenew called Watercolor Wonders is one of my absolute favourites and I knew as soon as it came out I would want to do this technique with the set.

To start off my card I had to choose Distress Inks that I knew would work well together. I chose Spun Sugar, Picked Raspberry, Festive Berries, Mustard Seed, Twisted Citron and Mowed Lawn. I then started stamping the flowers. I started out with the largest flower first and stamped that with Spun Sugar. Before stamping down I used my mini mister to spray the stamp until the ink pooled up on the stamp, I then stamped down and it made a watercolour effect. I repeated this step for all the layers, making sure I dry all the layers in between.

Once the background was done I white heat embossed a thank you sentiment on some black cardstock. The sentiment is from Oriental Orchid stamp set by Altenew also. I adhered that piece onto the card with some foam adhesive. I then took some Green Apple cardstock by Simon Says Stamp - which is favourite, adhered that to a white cardbase and then adhered the watercolour panel onto the green piece at an angle. For a finishing touch I added some clear wink of stella onto the redder pieces of the flowers and the card was complete.

Wish You The Most Beautiful Day (Video)

Hello everyone, today I'm here with a pretty simple card featuring some stamp layering and water colouring with Altenew Inks. Lemme tell ya, these inks are amazing. I could probably get rid of almost any other dye ink pad I own and just be happy with these. I've had such a good experience with these inks!

So for my card today I decided to use the Beautiful Day stamp set. So to begin the card I just used the Jet Black ink by Altenew to do all my outline stamping and the sentiment. Once I stamped everything out I used some pink, yellow and green Altenew inks (all will be linked below) and stamped the two large flowers and the large leaves using the stamp layering stamps in the stamp set. For the other images, they don't have a coordinating stamp layering image, so I decided to water colour these images using the Altenew inks.

To watercolour with these inks I just smoosh the pad onto an acrylic block, or any slick surface will work here. I then use a paint brush to pick up the colour and colour onto my image. So that's what I did for the rest of my images here. I just picked random colours and painted it on. I'm using watercolour paper here, so it works great. Once I finished water colouring the images I used my wink of stella glitter pen to add a little shimmer and then I adhered my panel onto some fun foam and adhered then the panel with fun foam onto a green card base from Hero Arts. That finished up my card.
