Pretty Pink Posh 25 Days of Christmas Tags (Video)

Hi everyone, today I'm helping Pretty Pink Posh participate in the 25 Days of Christmas Tags by Tracey McNeely. For these tags, I'll be using the new Winter Woodland stamp set along with a few other stamp sets and the Window Frames dies to create some shaker tags.

To start off my tags today I used the Window Frames dies and cut them both out nested together four times from some light grey cardstock. I then used the largest die and cut out twelve white bases and also four pieces of acetate. I adhered the acetate to the back of the light grey pieces, two each of the white bases together, so I would have a nice back and front and for the last of the white ones, I cut little snow banks.

Next, I ink blended some Peacock Feathers and Salty Ocean Distress Ink onto the white pieces to create a nice background for my tags. I then splattered some water on top to give a little water splotch effect. I then adhered my snow banks to the bottom of them also. For my sentiment I used the Everyday Greetings stamp set to stamp 'For You' onto each of the top of the tags with black ink. Before assembling my tags, I punched a small hole at the top of each of the tags for the twine to be threaded through. I then added a layer of foam tape behind the grey frames and then added some Starry Night Sequin Mix on top of my tag base and also some Sparkling Clear Snowflakes. I then removed the backers of foam tape and adhered them onto my bases.

Next I used the Winter Wonderland, Reindeer Games and Winter Woodland stamp sets and stamped and coloured a few images from each. I also coloured a ton of Santa hats from Reindeer Games as I love adding Santa hats to all critters! Once I finished colouring with Copic Markers I die cut them all out and adhered them flat onto the front of my tags. For a finishing touch I added some green twine through the holes of my tags and finished them off with a red bow.

Thanks so much for stopping by today and I hope you were inspired to make some shaker tags!

Craftie Cafe - Merry Christmas (Video)

Hi everyone, today I’m back with a card for Craftie Café using the new WPlus9 Christmas Rose Bouquet and My Favorite Things Snow Globe Sentiements set. I’ll also be using my Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers to colour in my large bouquet today also.

To begin, I stamped my large bouquet image from the Christmas Rose Bouquet stamp set onto some Tim Holtz Watercolor Cardstock with black ink, then clear heat embossed over the image also. To colour in my image in, I used various colours of Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers and a water brush. I scribble the colour where I want it to be darkest, then I pull that colour out with a water brush. Once I coloured my entire image, I used the coordinating dies to cut it out. Next, I used some Distress Inks to ink blend onto another piece of watercolour cardstock. I used Tumbled Glass, Peacock Feathers and Salty Ocean to ink blend into the centre of the cardstock, then I used a paintbrush with some water to move the colour around. Then used a paper towel to mop up the edges to create a light blue watercolour base for my flower to be adhered over the top of.

I used foam tape to adhere down my flower to the base, then took the Snow Globe Sentiments set from My Favorite Things to white heat emboss the simple Merry Christmas sentiment onto some black cardstock. I cut it down into a strip and adhered it with foam tape also. To finish off I adhered my panel onto a piece of black and white striped patterned paper and then onto a card base.

Thanks so much for stopping by today and I’ll catch you next time.

Now that all the details are out of the way, for my card today I used the Sparkle Dot Patterns 1 stamp set along with Winter Woodland to create a dreamy winter scene.

To begin my card today, I started off with a piece of watercolour cardstock and took the Sparkle Dot Pattern 1 stamp set and clear heat embossed the heart in the top middle of the cardstock. I then ink blended some Cracked Pistachio, Broken China and Salty Ocean onto the background in a sort of ombré way. I then flicked some water on top, picked it up with a paper towel and heat dried it with my heat tool. Then I went ahead and used my paper piercer to pierce holes in each of the holes that I embossed. Once they were all poked through I started stitching.

I used some blue thread and did a simple back stitch through all the holes until the heart was full of stitching. I really love this stamp set, the possibilities are endless. I adhered the excess thread on the back of the panel and moved on to colouring. I coloured my images from the Winter Woodland stamp set with Copic Markers and die cut them with the coordinating dies. I then used the Stitched Borders 1 Dies to cut out two white snow hills. I adhered them down to my stitched panel using flat adhesive for the bottom layer and foam tape for the top layer. I then adhered my images down the same way.

For my sentiment I used the Thank You die set, but just the You word from it and cut it out of white cardstock five times and adhered them together. Then adhered it on my card. For the rest of the sentiment I masked the I Love sentiment from the Winter Woodland stamp set and white heat embossed it on a small strip of black cardstock and then adhered that down to my card also. I adhered the entire panel onto a piece of fun foam and then onto a light blue card base.

Thanks so much for stopping by today, the next and final person on this blog hop today is the amazing Suzy Plantamura and make sure you leave comments to be entered to win the gift certificates!

Craftie Cafe - Oh Joy (Video)

Hello everyone, today I'm back for Craftie Cafe and I have a card to share with you all using some Christmas Products from Lawn Fawn.

I started off with stamping some images from Ready Set Snow, Snow Cool and a sentiment from Winter Big Scripty Words. I then coloured my images in with Copic Markers and cut them out using the coordinating dies. I then cut an additional backer for my globe, and coloured it using Salty Ocean and Cracked Pistachio Distress Oxide Inks. I want to make this snow globe a shaker, so I made sure to use the shaker add on dies so that the snow globe was open, like a window. Once the inside was cut I adhered down a piece of acetate on the back. I then added two layers of foam tape around the perimeter of the snow globe and filled it with seed beads.

Before closing up my shaker, I added the snowy piece onto the coloured backer snow globe as well as the two penguins. I then added the backer onto the back of the snow globe shaker piece to seal it up. Next I cut down a piece of white cardstock to 3 1/2 x 3 1/2 inches and used the Stitched Trails to emboss some stitched lines on the background to give it a little interest.

To finish up my card, I adhered my sentiment 'Oh Joy' from the Winter Big Scripty Words to the bottom of my snow globe. Then to put my card together, I added a piece of Guava cardstock from Lawn Fawn onto a 4" x 4" card base, then adhered on my stitched piece and then my main focal snow globe on top and that finished up my card for today.
